Inspired by Kevin Hamilton's Black Box Everything, I made a few images using quotes from the interviews I've done for my dissertation project. The quotes are from my interviewees, but they're not the people in these pictures.
The problems we have with our devices are not universal…so how come so much of our public talk about these problems assumes that they are? I've read a lot of deep and thoughtful writing about problems that knowledge workers have, but not much that speaks to anyone else's problems.
By juxtaposing images and quotes that are in tension with one another (for one reason or another), #notmyproblem is an experiment in expanding our imaginations about users and their concerns.
